Johnny Depp is in talks to join the cast of spy thriller 'The Tourist'. The 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' actor would play an American tourist manipulated by an Interpol agent, played by Angelina Jolie, into helping track down a former lover suspected of being an international criminal. The film has suffered an unusual number of cast and crew changes since its inception.  

Fortunately, everybody did think it was good. Better than good, as it goes. Winner of the Audience Award, An Education has since become one of the most talked-about films this year.

Set during the great depression of the 1930s, Public Enemies tells the story of bank robber John Dillinger. Suave, sexy and confident Dillinger (Johnny Depp) is a criminal who, after organising a jailbreak which ends rather violently, moves from a farmhouse to Chicago where he is promised he will be sheltered by the Mafia and can live openly. During his time in Chicago, Dillinger takes part in numerous bank raids and develops a large fanbase.

The '24' actor and crew members of the hit drama series popped into The Spot in San Pedro, California, after finishing a shoot, as they wanted to relax with a few alcoholic beverages. According to an employee, Kiefer was enjoying scotch and cokes and decided to buy everyone in the venue - about 30 people - leaving him with a $500 bar bill.

Directed by the legendary Michael Mann ( Heat , Collateral ), Public Enemies is an epic, action-packed thriller that follows the story of the legendary, charming and ruthless gangster John Dillinger (Depp) as he attempts to outwit and outgun the squa  

This should be no surprise since Mann has a history of embracing new film technologies, much to the chagrin of some purists out there. In the same piece, Mann discusses how he decided to shoot Public Enemies digitally, and I think it also speaks to his stance on 3D. We were supposed to shoot on film but then just before the beginning of the shooting we had a test.
